About this Fuji guide

FujiHikeGuide.com is an independent guide to hiking Mount Fuji: the climbing season and the rules, the four summit trails, climbing with a guide or on your own, mountain huts and sunrise, and the walks and views around the mountain when the summit is closed, along with the Fuji hikes and tours sold on GetYourGuide. We are not Yamanashi or Shizuoka Prefecture, a mountain hut, a tour operator or GetYourGuide. We compare what is on offer so you can decide whether you want a tour at all, and if so which one.

Facts on this site are checked against official sources (the official Mt Fuji climbing site run by Yamanashi, Shizuoka and the Ministry of the Environment, both prefectures' own pages, and the Japan Meteorological Agency) and against the live GetYourGuide listings, including recent guest reviews. Season dates, gate hours and fees change from year to year; when an official source and this site disagree, trust the official source.
